Ganja seized in Madugula

The Prohibition and Excise department personnel seized 740 kgs of ganja and arrested five persons at Kasipuram area under V Madugula police station limits in the district on Wednesday. The excise official on a tip- off, intercepted a van, which was plying with fake registration number, and seized the contraband worth Rs 75 lakh, along with the van and a motor bike (pilot vehicle).

The excise official on a tip- off, intercepted a van, which was plying with fake registration number, and seized the contraband worth Rs 75 lakh, along with the van and a motor bike (pilot vehicle).
The ganja was procured from the interior parts of the Agency and being transported to Tamil Nadu. The main accused Amresh, van driver Surendra Kannan, both hailing from Tamil Nadu, and three other tribals of the Agency were arrested
