The Committee is likely to finalise a report on the Centre’sassistance to Andhra Pradesh, utilisation by the State government and implementation of the promises made under AP Reorganisation act in a week.

Speaking to pressperson after the meeting, Pawan said AP MPs are responsible for the crisis in Andhra Pradesh (AP). The State would have got all the benefits it deserved, only if MPs fought against the Centre sincerely.

He questioned the AP government for not allotting the land to IIM (Indian Institute of Management) in Visakhapatnam. Pawan said the JFC will prepare a detailed report on backward areas, progress in Polavaram and funds got under special package.
The retired bureaucrats Padmanabhaiah, IYR Krishna Rao and Chandrasekhar were preparing the report.

JFC member and former MP V Arun Kumar demanded the ruling Telugu Desam Party and opposition YSR Congress party to move no confidence motion against Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prove their sincerity in the fight for special status to Andhra Pradesh.
The resignation of the MPs will not yield any result, he added. The JFC report
will also make suggestionsregarding the importance of according special status to Andhra Pradesh.
