Guntur: Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Anand Babu said the TDP government will transform the lives of SC/ST car drivers as car owners. He distributed 20 Innova cars to ST beneficiaries at a programme at his camp office here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the government would distribute 150 Innova cars and 50 Boleros to STs at a cost of Rs 20 crore. As a part of improving their standard of living, he said that the government would take steps that every family get Rs 10,000 income per month.
He said that the government was trying to provide employment to ST unemployed youth through land purchase scheme and by imparting skill development training.
He criticised the YSRCP MPs for compromising with the BJP-led government at the Centre and staging dramas in Parliament. Stating that political parties are extending support to no-confidence motion moved by the TDP against the Modi government, the minister made it clear the party would not compromise on protecting the interests of the state.
