Students paint events of freedom struggle at Gantasala Music College
To mark the 72nd Independence Day, Vijayawada Arts Society and Department of Creative and Culture Commission, Government of Andhra Pradesh organised drawing competition for schoolchildren at Gantasala Music College here on Tuesday
Vijayawada: To mark the 72nd Independence Day, Vijayawada Arts Society and Department of Creative and Culture Commission, Government of Andhra Pradesh organised drawing competition for schoolchildren at Gantasala Music College here on Tuesday.
About 250 students from various schools across the state participated in the drawing competition with enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vizai Bhaskar, director of AP Department of Creativity and Culture Commission said that the commission would always extend its support to all the artists and art activities.
He said that children should be taught about patriotism and they should be given chance to participate in art on freedom struggle and the parents should encourage the children to participate in such activities.
He appealed to all the artists to unite and come under one roof. All the participants painted on freedom struggle and freedom moment.
The winners were given prizes.
