South Central Railway Vijayawada Division celebrated Swachh Bharat Arogya Bharat on the 150th Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations at the Railway Auditorium here on Tuesday
Vijayawada: South Central Railway Vijayawada Division celebrated “Swachh Bharat – Arogya Bharat” on the 150th Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations at the Railway Auditorium here on Tuesday.
On the occasion, Divisional Railway Manager R Dhanunjayulu said that it is our responsibility to follow in the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhiji to take forward the values and principles to the next generation.
He said that Mahatma Gandhiji preached what he practiced in his life and added all must follow his footsteps. Krishna Kumari, former director of All India Radio, professors Nomula Venkatesh, M Suresh Kumar also spoke on the occasion. The DRM distributed prizes and certificates to the winners of different competitions organised at Jack and Jill School and at Railway Institute, Satyanarayanapuram.
Earlier, a ‘blood donation camp’ was organised by “Rotary Red Cross Blood Bank” at Railway Hospital here. DRM inaugurated ‘Art Gallery of Mahatma Gandhi’ in waiting hall on platform No1 in Vijayawada railway station.
