South Central Railway General Manager reviews development works in Vijayawada division
South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav inspected NarasapurBhimavaramGudiwadaMachilipatnam section in Vijayawada division on Tuesday
Vijayawada: South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav inspected Narasapur-Bhimavaram-Gudiwada-Machilipatnam section in Vijayawada division on Tuesday.
Commencing the inspection at Narasapur railway station, the General Manager visited Bhimavaram, Palakollu, Viravasaram, Akiveedu, Gudivada, Machilipatnam railway stations.
R Dhananjayulu, Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager, accompanied the General Manager during the inspection.The General Manager inspected Narasapur Railway Station and discussed on station developmental plans in progress.
He distributed electrical tool kits to staff, carried out a detailed inspection of Carriage and Wagon Depot and inspected facilities available at the running room. The GM planted a sapling as part of promoting green environment on the premises of running room.
Narsapuram MLA B. Madhava Naidu met Vinod Kumar Yadav and submitted a representation on rail development plans in his constituency. The General Manager also inspected Manned Level Crossing Gate No 14A between Palakollu – Viravasaram section and inaugurated prefabricated gang hut and 2kw solar plant. He interacted with track maintainers on various safety aspects.
Vinod Kumar Yadav conducted window-trailing inspection of the Narasapur-Bhimavaram section to check the standards of track maintenance. He halted at Bhimavaram railway station and inspected health unit, visited exhibition stall set up by engineering department and launched web-based service records of trackman at assistant divisional electrical engineer’s office. He also visited the exhibition stall put up by Rajbhasha and released a booklet of safety slogans published in Hindi.
He inspected the railway colony and inaugurated children’s park. MP Gokaraju Ganga Raju met the General Manager and held discussions on various rail development plans in the region. Later, he visited Machilipatnam Station and went round the circulating area of the station and reviewed the passenger facilities and inaugurated a renovated running room and new store shed for coaching depot. Several higher officials also accompanied him.
