Tirupati: Lok Satta Party (LSP) State President Bhisetty Babji criticised TRS, Congress, TDP and BJP for flouting the democratic norms in Telangana electioneering by trying to induce the voters with impractical promises.

Speaking to media here on Saturday, Babji said these parties virtually hijacked democracy and ignored values and ethics in the electioneering. They focused more on personal attacks and wild, baseless mutual accusations than campaigning on the issues like health, education, youth employment and farmers suicides.

With the sole aim of win in the election, these four parties went all out to woo the voters, he said adding the Telangana election instead of building confidence on democracy weakened the people belief on the system. Fearing the same trend reappearing in Andhra Pradesh, he said it was the youth to check such degradation of democratic values.

He informed party founder Jayapraksh Narayan will hold a meeting with the state party leaders for two days at Vijayawada on December 19 and 20 to discuss various issues and also organisational matters.
