Tirupati: TTDs Educational Officer C Sesha Reddy presented a laptop as a gift to G Raghuvamsi, an orphan who studied in TTD-run Balamandir School for his commendable research work in Solar Technology, at Balamandir School here on Friday. The boy who is studying the B.Tech final year at Sri Vidyaniketan Engineering college has recently won an award of appreciation from the Governor of Karnataka for presenting the excellent research paper on Solar Technology in Rural Development which he has submitted to National Research Design Institute of Bangalore. The boy proved that with an expenditure of just Rs 7 lakhs, with the help of solar energy, around 30 houses in a village can be supplied with electricity that is meant for household as well agriculture purpose.
