Step up vigilance on crimes: Urban SP

Tirupati: Tirupati Urban SP SV Rajasekhara Babu held crime review meeting in his chamber on Wednesday and instructed officers of all wings to pay more attention in controlling house breakings and other crimes. He also stressed about patrolling during day and night in residential colonies as the chances are more for house burglaries in summer season. Deputy SPs, inspectors and sub-inspectors of all sub-divisions and police stations attended the meeting. Addressing the police personnel, the SP said that the emergency help line number 100 is getting more popularity and people during any emergency may call this number for help and every staff member should pay utmost attention in attending to the calls and there should be immediate response to solve the grievances. He also stressed the speedy clearance of pending cases and also directed officials concerned to arrest the wanted criminals at the earliest as well as recovery of theft items. He also suggested them to maintain better coordination with all wings of police department and exchange of information to prevent and reduce the crimes in urban district limit. Later, he distributed merit scholarships to students of police staff and suggested them to concentrate on studies to live with bright future.
