Newly married man found dead at water body

Tirupati : A newly married young man was found dead on the banks of Malle Madugu reservoir at Karakambadi of Renigunta mandal on Monday. According to police, the victim Yuvaraj (25) residing in BC colony of Karakambadi got married on August 8 and was murdered three days later. Yuvaraj left the house in the early hours of Sunday informing that he was going to the reservoir to bring fishes, but failed to return.

The family members thought that he might have left for his job straightaway from the water pond and waited till Sunday night. He was reportedly working as a private mobile operator in Tirupati.

Meanwhile, some of the local people identified the body of Yuvaraj near the Malle Madugu reservoir and informed the Renigunta police. Later, Renigunta police inspector Ram Kumar along with his staff inspected the spot and observed a few injuries on the head and knife injuries near the throat. He came to a conclusion that miscreants might have attacked and murdered Yuvaraj. Ram Kumar said that the deceased might have been stoned and later smothered to death. A case was registered and investigation is on.
