Raja Rani director gets Telugu offers, Raja Rani, AR Murugadoss. Arya too is visibly excited with the film’s opening in Telugu. It’s his biggest opener in Telugu. “I knew it would do well but I never imagined that it would take such an opening,” he said.
‘Raja Rani’, the dubbed Telugu version of the Tamil hit of the same name, has done exceedingly well at the box-office, said producer AR Murugadoss. “It has raked in Rs 4 crore in the opening weekend. It has overcome the exam season and it’s running to strong collections,” smiled the filmmaker in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Newcomer Atlee has directed the flick which has minted over Rs 60 crore in Tamil Nadu last year. “I was waiting for it to release in Telugu as I had a strong belief that it would work in AP too. Lots of Telugu offers are coming my way and I hope to direct a Telugu flick next, “said Atlee, who assisted Shankar for ‘Robot’.
