Guntur: The Tadepalli police on Friday charged a minor boy with the death of his classmate, Gujjula Chandrasekhara Reddy. This incident happened at ZP high school in Penumaka village in Guntur district on Thursday, following a wrangle between two classmates studying in class IX, DSP Madhusudan Rao added.
Police said the victim, Gujjula Chandrasekhara Reddy, was dancing on a bench in the classroom which another student objected to. As Chandrasekhara did not relent, his classmate allegedly pushed him from the bench resulting in Chandrasekhara sustaining severe injuries on his vital part of the body.
After fellow students brought this to the notice of the school authorities, the teachers rushed Chandrashekara to the government hospital in Mangalagiri. However, the doctors declared him brought dead. The accused fled school following this incident. A case was booked against the accused under Section 304 (A) - causing death due to negligence, the DSP added.
