Taking cleanliness into their own hands

Resident of Umanagar, which had won the Best Colony Award in 2011, cleaned the colony themselves owing to the strike by the GHMC staff. Capt. Manohar Sharma, president, Uma Nagar Residents,Welfare Association, said, “This is a voluntary effort with no political interference. We cleaned the colony premises and will continue to do so till the strike is called off. We hope this inspires others to follow suit.”
