Dindigal: Sambipur Raju, MLC, on Sunday performed puja to Goddess Mahankali in connection with the Bonalu festival in Sambipur village. The festival in the village is held on the same day as that organised in Mahankali Bonalu in Secunderabad. The residents and members of the temple committee honoured the MLC, ZP Vice-chairman Prabhakar Reddy and TRS mandal unit president.
Addressing the gathering, Raju stated that he worshipped the goddess to bless the villagers and people in the constituency. He said the Pochammatalli Bonalu would follow. Among those present were Market Committee Director Govind Reddy, Rakesh Yadav, brother of MLC Sunkari Krishna, Srinivas Reddy, Sunkari Anjaneyulu.
