Ameenpur: Illegal dumping has been an ongoing issue in Ameenpur for years now. The residents and local retail shops are dumping wastage in the open place. It’s a serious issue that garbage is piling up on the unknown land. Though there are many complaints to officials concerned, no one has turned to resolve the issue.

Pingali Dinesh Reddy resident of Ameenpur said, “Locals from different areas are dumping plastic, expired vegetables and tires. The local shopkeepers are hiring some mini trucks to carry wastage and dump it on the open land as their wish. I and my friends have done a lot of hard work to clean and tried by keeping sign boards, but nothing has changed, till now there is no action taken by any of the officials. Earlier, when we filed complaints to GHMC they replied it comes under Grampanchayat.”

AVRWA (Ameenpur Village Resident Welfare Association) president Rajesh Potluri said, “We had signs on the land saying stop trash save life and please stop dump. We have done everything to stop it, they just won’t stop. I hope the Ameenpur municipality will be going to take an immediate action to resolve this problem.”

Rajesh said that at least our new Grade-I Municipality would take necessary action on unofficial dump and deploy security to stop dumping there. They can plan to move wastage to Patancheru or RC Puram dump yard if we don't have government land, he added. Ameenpur municipality official said, “We have identified the issue and as soon as possible the issue will be resolved.”
