Central government neither revoked its decision to divide Andhra Pradesh nor announced solutions to the grievances of Seemandhra people if the state is divided. Over 67 days of APNGOs strike has made Congress High Command think on the grievances of the Seemandhra people and prompted them to appoint a high-level committee. But the Committee has not even visited Hyderabad once to learn about the problems of Seemandhra people.

Congress High Command on many occasions declared that the decision on the Telangana is final and there is no going back on it and the Centre is inching towards carving out Telangana state. But finally without getting any official statement from the Central government, the APNGOS and several other employees associations have called off their strikes.

Workers from the power sector, teachers and transport employees called off their agitation recently. On Thursday, APNGOs too called off their strike after assurance from Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. Many employees who participated in the agitational programmes are of the view that if the Congress High Command didn't bother when Seemandhra was rocked by protests, it couldn't care less after the situation limps back to normalcy. Another question is if the political leaders who resigned only after facing wrath of people, really fight for united AP?
Many of the state and union ministers have openly declared that the division of the state is inevitable and we have to fight for the rights of Seemandhra people.

Several APNGO leaders are believed to have said that whenever any APNGO called off their strike, there will be an agreement between the Government and NGOs. This has been the standard practice from the star. This is the first time the APNGOs called off their strike without any agreement. They also said that the chief minister has not given proper assurance on the Telangana issue.

Opposition parties have accused the the CM of watering down the Samaikyandhra movement by asking the NGOs to end their strikes. They allege that it's the game plan of Kiran Kumar Reddy who's doing covert operations for the High Command.

Kiran openly criticized the Congress High Command several times to get mileage in the Seemandhra region. Now, he earned more brownie points in his party for successfully handling APNGOs till they called off their strikes. However, the APNGOs' sudden decision to call of their strike has raised eyebrows. Was it a wrong move or they consciously called off their strike as it is difficult to survive without salaries?
