People shifted to relief camps in the cyclone Phethai hit villages in Krishna district were in dire need basic amenities like food, drinking water and medicine. The relief camps opened in Avanigadda Mandal in the coastal district were left in the lurch with lack of facilities.

Victims in the camps poured out their woes before Superintendent Of Police Sarveshta Tripati and demanded to provide food and drinking water on first priority.

They said Revenue officials were not responding to their demand to provide drinking water and their children also starved of food.
