All set for Indiramma Baata: Minister

Nellore: State Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy said that all arrangements were made in the district for conducting Indiramma Baata programme from April 1 to 3 in which Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would be participating. The Finance Minister inspected the arrangements that were made at the medical college premises in the town on Sunday. A He also toured Somasila, Ravooru, and Kandaleeru to oversee the arrangements as the Chief Minister would visit them during his 3-day tour of the district. Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Ramnarayana Reddy said that the Chief Minister would not confine himself to attending the foundation laying ceremonies but also study the progress made in the implementation of various development programmes in the district. He said that the main purpose of the Chief Minister in undertaking the Indiramma Baata was to know about the status of different welfare and development programmes. The Finance Minister said that it was the Congress government under the dispensation of Kiran Kumar Reddy in the State that took the initiative in implementing several development progra mmes and was responsible for the construction of the Krishnapatnam port and a government medical college that was almost ready. He appealed to the party activists and leaders to make Indiramma Baata a grand success. Ramnarayana Reddy said that he would persuade the Chief Minister to sanction a government medical college and an airport in the district.
