Hyderabad: After much criticism in the media channels, the Telangana government has at last initiated steps to change the name boards of government and private establishments in the newly formed state – Telangana.
The task of changing all boards has been entrusted to the labour department and has been ordered to ensure that all the name boards reflect Telangana instead of Andhra Pradesh. The name boards will have to be changed in a month and the labour department will impose penalties on violators if they fail to do the same, added the sources.
It is learnt that KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana, was displeased with the name boards still making appearance in the name of Andhra Pradesh, despite the fact that the state has become a month old, almost. At a recent meeting with officials at the Secretariat, reportedly KCR expressed displeasure over this issue.
