Says Telangana CM failed on all fronts in administration
Hyderabad: Terming Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao a ‘superstitious ‘ CM, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Tuesday said the cancellation of FAST ( Financial Assistance to the Students of Telangana) scheme by the government itself was an evidence of poor performance of Chandrashekar Rao’s administration.
Addressing the press here, he said the Chief Minister claimed the FAST was his own scheme but failed to implement it. The other schemes which were not mentioned in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) election manifesto but implemented were also not reaching the deserved. Chandrashekar Rao was consuming time to make only statements and not the enforcement of the schemes strictly, he alleged.
The TPCC leader also pointed out that the Telangana government did not take any measures to contain the spate of farmers’ suicides even as the National Human Rights Commission pulled up the government on the particular issue. Continuous power crisis and the deadlock on power sharing between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh left Telangana State in deep crisis further, he added.
Lakshmaiah demanded that the government scrap the orders issued for the regularisation of lands occupied and constructed houses by the poor as the scheme was being misused by some influential persons who encroached government lands.
