The city police have announced traffic curbs that would be imposed on Sunday in connection with the Ganesh idol immersion in Hyderabad. The vehicles other than those carrying the idols would not be allowed in the procession.

Informing the traffic curbs here on Friday, the City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy appealed to the people to cooperate with the traffic policemen.
Mahender Reddy said that the main procession starting from Keshavagiri passes through Aliabad, Nagulchinta, Charminar, Madina, Afzalgunj, MJ Market, Abids, Basheerbagh, Liberty, Upper Tank Bund and ends at NTR Marg.
The other procession from Secunderabad would join the main procession at Himayatnagar Y junction passing from RP Road, MG Road, Karbala Maidan, Kawadiguda,
Musheerabad X Road, RTC X Road and Narayanguda X Road, while another stream that comes from Uppal joins at RTC X roads passing from Ramanthapur, Amberpet, NCC at OU and Durga Bai Deshmukh Hospital.
He said that vehicles other than the idols’ procession would not be allowed to move on the main procession route between 9 am on the September 27 to 8 am on September 28.
The main traffic diversion points were Keshavagiri, Mahbubnagar X Roads, Engine Bowli, Nagul Chintha, Himmathpura, Hari Bowli, Asra Hospital, Mogulpura, Lakkad Kote, Madina X Road, MJ Bridge, Dar Ul Shifa X Roads, City College in South Zone, Chanchalguda Jail X Roads, Moosarambagh, Chaderghat Bridge, Salarjung Bridge (Shivaji Bridge),
Afzalgunj, Putilibowli X Roads, Troop Bazar, Jambagh X Roads, Andhra Bank Koti in East Zone, Tope Khana Mosque, Alaska Hotel Junction, Osman Gunj, Sanker Bagh and Seena Hotel, Ajantha Gate near Exhibition Grounds, Abkari Lane, Taj Island, Barthan Bazar, AR Petrol Pump at KLK Building in West Zone.
In Central Zone, the vehicular traffic would be diverted at Chappel Road Entry, Gadwal Centre at the GPO, Shalimar Theatre, Gun foundry, Skyline Road Entry, Bharath Scouts & Guides Junction in Domalguda, Kalanjali at Control Room, Liberty Junction, MCH Office Y junction, BRK Bhavan junction near Telugu Thalli Junction, Iqbal Minar,
Ravindra Bharathi, Dwaraka Hotel Junction, Khairatabad Junction (Visweswaraiah Statue), Children’s Park, Viceroy Hotel junction, Kawadiguda Junction, Musheeerabad X road, RTC X road, Katta Maisamma Temple at Lower Tank Bund, Indira Park Junction and in North Zone,
the vehicular traffic would not be allowed to enter the Necklace Road and Upper Tank Bund from Karbala Maidan, Buddha Bhavan, Sailing Club, Nallagutta Junction.
From 6 am on September 27 to 8 am on 28, the traffic would be diverted at CTO, YMCA, Paradise X Roads, Patny X Roads, Bata X Roads, Adavaiah X Roads, Ghans Mandi X Roads, he said.
Also, the police commissioner said that parking of vehicles at Tank Bund would not be allowed for the visitors. Parking would be provided at Institute of Engineers at Khairatabad junction,
Khairatabad MMTS Station, Anand Nagar Colony to Ranga Reddy district Zilla Parishad office, back side of Buddha Bhavan, Goseva Sadan, Lower Tank Bund, Katta Maisamma Temple, NTR Stadium, Nizam College and Public Gardens.
The public coming from Airport or going to Airport should avoid using Necklace Road, NTR Marg, Tank Bund Road and Road from Ambedkar Statue to Falaknuma,
the Commissioner said adding that the public can contact the Helpline numbers 040-27852482, 9490598985 and 9010203626 for guidance in connection with the traffic restriction.
