TRS MP Kavitha holds Union Ministers responsible for Dalit student's suicide

TRS MP K Kavitha on Monday said blamed the two Union Ministers who pressurised the University of Hyderabad vice chancellor to suspend five Dalit research scholars and ultimately led to one of them committing suicide.

Calling Rohith Vemula's suicide unfortunate, the TRS MP said that Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya had written to Union Minister for Human Resources Development Smriti Irani supporting the ABVP students which led to the suspension of five students of Ambedkar Students Union.

Kavitha further added that the authorities nor the central ministers came to the rescue of the suspended students who were staging a protest for the past few days.
