Telangana Minister for Education Kadiam Srihari on Saturday announced that the Intermediate students in Telangana would be served free lunch starting from the coming academic year.
The Minister further informed that the Telangana government has earmarked funds for the same in this year's budget and nearly two lakh students in 444 junior colleges would be served free lunch.
While the announcement made it clear that the scheme was applicable for the Intermediate students in the state, whether the private college students are included in the scheme is uncertain.
