Poorna in and as ‘Avanthika’
Veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao sounded the clapboard for the first shot while producer C Kalyan switched on the camera. Relangi Narasimha Rao directed the first shot.
Poorna, who is awaiting the release of ‘Jayammu Nischayammu Ra’ presently, is playing the titular role in producer Ramasatyanarayana’s ‘Avanthika,’ the muhurat of which was held in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao sounded the clapboard for the first shot while producer C Kalyan switched on the camera. Relangi Narasimha Rao directed the first shot.
Speaking later, film’s director Sri Raj Balla said, “Ramasatyanarayana okayed the film the moment he heard the script and Poorna is tailor-made for the project. It’s a horror thriller which will address a burning social issue.”
Ramasatyanarayana said the film will be wrapped up in flat 34 days and that they would be devoting 40 days to post-production. Dhanraj, Shakalala Shankar, Ajay Ghosh and Geetanjali will be seen playing supporting roles.
