Khammam: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar ordered Nalgonda RTC Regional Manager to suspend Kodada depot manager, who failed to provide sanitiser to bus conductor.
On Wednesday, the Minister paid a surprise visit to Khammam RTC bus stand and interacted with passengers as well as staff. He also boarded a few buses and enquired the passengers whether the RTC staff is providing sanitiser to them before boarding bus or not.
He later boarded a Kodada depot bus and asked the conductor about sanitiser. He became angry on the RTC officials when the conductor replied that nobody gave sanitiser to him and immediately spoke with Nalgonda depot Regional Manager over phone ordering him to suspend Kodada depot manager for not providing sanitiser to the conductor. Minister said that the RTC officials were strictly ordered to provide sanitiser to every conductor in the wake of coronavirus spread. We
will never tolerate such kind of negligence by the officials, he warned.
Minister Ajay instructed Khammam depot Regional Manager SVG Krishna Murthy to take stringent action against the officials and any staff, who do not follow instructions of the government. He later distributed essential commodities to church pasters at his camp office. He also visited a few villages in Raghunadhapalem mandal and distributed fruits and butter milk to NREGS labourers.
