The RDO along with the volunteers of NSS of government Degree College, Agraharam of Siricilla town participated in the Haritha Haram programme organised by the college here in Rajanna Siricilla district.

The sustenance of mankind is becoming problematic due to increasing of pollution and depleting of ground water levels. To overcome such problems everyone must plant saplings by participating in the Haritha Haram programme.

With increasing of green cover, people will get fresh air and oxygen worth of crores of rupees. Along with people, animals also will lead a health life with increase of green cover, he observed.

College principal, Dr T Srinivas said that entire college will be turned into green with planting of various kinds of saplings. The students can focus on studies in a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere under the trees. NSS programme officer Dr V Srinivas said that as many as 60 members of volunteers participated in the Haritha Haram actively.

Vemulawada Tahsildar Srinivas, college vice-principal Madhu Rajesh, Dr N Srinivasulu, Dr Afsar Hussain, Dr Malla Reddy, Dr Rama Devi, Dr E Bhadraiah, Dr M Prabhakar, Dr Upendar, P Swarupa, K Rajesh, VVenkateshwarlu, Y Narayana, Y.Narasaiah, K.Madhu Babu, R.Narendar and R.Sneha were present on the occasion.
