Speedup 2BHK construction works: Nirmal Collector M Prashanthi

Nirmal: District Collector M Prashanthi ordered the officials concerned to speed up double bedroom house construction. She held a review meeting with the officials of R&B, housing, electricity departments, panchayat raj and Mission Bhagiratha at the Collector's conference hall in Nirmal on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector told the officials to complete 2BHK works speedily and to prepare action plan to provide Mission Bhagiratha drinking water and electricity to the colonies of double bedroom houses.

She said that the panchayat raj department had completed the construction of 240 houses out of the target of 1,932. Tenders were finalised for the construction of another 447 houses and tenders were called for 300 2BHK.

R and B department finalised tenders for 2,060 double bedroom houses against the target of 2,220. And another 1,616 houses are in progress, she said. To provide basic facilities like drinking water supply, Anganwadi centres, dumping yards, graveyards, drainage, roads and others.

District cooperative officers Suryachandarao, electricity SE Chatham, R&B EE Srinivas Rao, panchayat raj EE Sudarshan Rao, housing board officer Narsaiah and others were present.
