In a surprise move, MAUD Minister Botsa Satyanarayana visited model flats constructed for Ministers and MLAs in Velagapudi in Amaravati. Earlier the minister described this area as a burial ground. His visit gains importance in the wake of comments by Panchayat Raj minister P Ramachandra Reddy on Sunday that shifting of capital to Vizag has differed. Botsa visited flats which were completed to the extent of 80 per cent.
He was accompanied by CRDA officials and examined the construction works. All India Service Quarters, NGOs and HODS Quarters were examined. On the other hand, CRDA officials and representatives of construction companies have also met.
On Saturday, the inspecting works in the capital village Raipudi, Karakatta Road were inspected. There was a widespread discussion with Botsa and the CRDA Commissioner. The latest speculation has begun with the tour again on Monday and the farmers are also surprised with the latest development.
