The actor-politician, Pawan Kalyan, who in his poll debut in Andhra Pradesh suffered a huge setback, has now claimed it took him only 15 minutes to recover from the loss.

The actor who attended the 2019 TANA (North America's Telugu Association) conference talked about his loss in the election and said, "After suffering defeat, it only took me 15 minutes to recover completely. I've accepted my 15-minute defeat. I was taught several lessons by failure... Each defeat brought me closer to success. I wasn't afraid of defeat because I wasn't scamming or betraying anyone. I entered politics believing in certain values, and if it gives me a defeat, I will take it happily."

This year's Andhra Pradesh elections were contested by Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party. The party faced a humiliating defeat, however, as the elections were won by only one MLA from their party. The two seats contested by Pawan Kalyan himself – Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka – lost both elections. The actor, recalling his earlier failures, revealed that after Kushi he lost interest in movies. Explaining the reason, he said, "When we celebrated Kushi's 100 Days in Sandhya Theatre, there were many young people there.

I asked how many of you would take a vow against eve-teasing, and they didn't raise their hands. I realized that the cinema was not going to change people that day. And if I have any responsibility for society, then I should come out and do something about it... He added, "Since that day, I have lost interest in films and it has shifted towards society, and I have read volumes of books on the Constituent Assembly."

I waited for success so patiently. Indeed, my success with Gabbar Singh was after Kushi," he said. Kushi was released in 2001 and released in 2012 by Gabbar Singh. Pawan Kalyan said Nelson Mandela and his book Long Walk to Freedom, an anti-apartheid revolutionary, inspired him and gave him a lot of courage. "I learned from him how to accept failures.

" Pawan Kalyan further said he had grown up without knowing what caste groups were. "I learned that there are so much discrimination and hatred after growing up. People are divided by everyone, but I came to unify them. I'm going to accept it even if it gives me a defeat. But dividing people will not do politics."
