Alcohol, pollution, second-hand smoke, allergens, poor diet and even stress can take their toll on the liver, making it lethargic.

Hence, it is very important to keep the liver squeaky clean and in top working condition.

Curcumin

Lemon

The juice of the lemon contains a powerful antioxidant vitamin C which protects the liver cells that are damaged. I am constantly squeezing lemon on all my food and I encourage you to do so too. It is the best guardian of the liver. The vitamin C present in lemon prevents oxidative damage that is caused by the release of free radicals.

Coriander

I am constantly encouraging people to toss a lot of coriander into their food. The phytochemicals present in this herb are believed to be the best soldiers, especially for cancers fund in the liver. Make sure that the coriander leaves you are buying are fresh, evenly green and with no sign of wilting.

Leafy greens

These little leaves are liver rejuvenators. These wonderful, refreshing, leafy greens, whether it is mint, fenugreek, mustard leaves, amaranth, spinach etc. contain tonnes of phytochemicals boosting liver health. Everyone must reap the goodness that they contain. While buying these greens, make sure they are fresh and wash them carefully before using.

Sleep at the right time

The maximum release of melatonin is 3 hours after sunset and the body must be at rest so that the liver can use the hormone to keep the liver healthy and prevent live diseases. So it's best to sleep at least 2 hours before midnight so that melatonin can do its job right. Positive effects of melatonin on the liver are amazing especially for fatty liver, hepatitis, fibrosis, hepatocellular carcinoma and liver cirrhosis.
