Brisk preparations on for Ramzan festival
GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore has ordered the GHMC staff to make preparations for Ramzan festival month. Dana Kishore held a review meeting on the forthcoming Ramzan Festival and issued the some instructions for the smooth conduct of the festival in the city.

The commissioner ordered for the maintenance of all approach roads leading to mosques, replacement of manhole covers, removal of road cutting waste and road restoration works, removal of demolition waste from road widening operations, repairing of rising of benches, footpath maintenance, white washing and jungle clearance at all idgah & mosque grounds and repairing of toilets at Mecca Masjid.
The commissioner ordered sanitation department for maintenance of sanitation at all mosque and Idgah places, including daily removal of garbage, debris and spreading of lime after lifting garbage. GHMC also arranged special sanitation vehicles and teams for the lifting of garbage from all locations on a day-to-day basis, particularly after Iftar parties.
Dana also ordered all the zonal commissioners to set up multi- departmental control room or emergency control room consisting of all line departments at Sardar Mahal.
Besides, the commissioner also ordered electrical, entomology and veterinary department officials to work on the local requirements and responsibilities without any slackness and inconvenience for the smooth conduct of Ramzan Festival.
