Speaking at media, the hotel association president P Ravi Kumar said that the food appa which started off with zero percent commission have gradually increased to 10 percent in past and now the rate has gone to 18 to 20 percent, which has become a big problem for the hotels.

The association which consists of around 245 hotels in the city had a meeting on Tuesday and the decision to logout from all SWIGGY food appswas taken. The association alleges that all the delivery apps are following the same pattern of charging Commiission.

The hotel management association has warned other food delivery apps as well if there is not action taken to reduce the commission. The association reportedly took the issue to Competitive commission of India, which is dealing with case. It remain to be seen how the giant food delivery app responds to the latest decision of hotel managements in Vijayawada.
