Coronavirus in India: The number of COVID-19 positive cases in the country continue to rise. The countrywide count has now reached 3,95,048 as per the latest update put out on Friday morning by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The countrywide count has now reached 3,95,048 as per the latest update put out on Friday morning by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The total number of deaths across the country stands at 12,948. There are1,68,269 active cases across all states, while 2,13,831 patients have been cured or discharged.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan continue to contribute the most to the overall viral load in the country.
Maharashtra's COVID-19 tally has now reached 1,24,331, while the state's death count stands at 5,893.
Tamil Nadu, the second worst-hit state by COVID-19 has reported an overall count of 54,449 with 666 deaths.
Delhi has been the epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic in the north and has reported 53,116 confirmed cases and a death count of 2,035.
Gujarat, another badly hit state has reported 26,141 COVID-19 cases and 1,681 deaths.
Uttar Pradesh has reported 15,785 confirmed coronavirus cases and 488 deaths.
Rajasthan has reported 14,156 confirmed coronavirus patients so far with 333 deaths.
Madhya Pradesh has reported 11,582 confirmed COVID-19 cases with the total death count in the state now reaching close to 500. It stands currently at 495
West Bengal has so far reported 13,090 cases of coronavirus with 529 deaths.
Haryana has seen a spike in cases in recent days, with the state's tally now reaching 9,743 and 144 deaths.
Karnataka has reported8,281 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 124 deaths.
