Telangana activists create flutter

Telangana supporters on Saturday caused a flutter at ‘Samaikya Sankharavam’ by hurling shoes and raising Telangana slogans at LB stadium.

A Telangana activist Srinivas hurled a shoe towards the dais minutes before the YSR party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy concluded his speech. The activist entered the media gallery by jumping the main barricade and threw a shoe at the dais. The police immediately swung into action and took him into custody. Before police entered the scene, the T activist was surrounded by people attending the meeting and was beaten up. The activist received injuries on his leg.

In another incident, minutes before Jagan started his speech a Telangana supporter ran towards the dais and shouted ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans. He was whisked away by police from the venue.

Earlier, another activist rushed towards the dais by shouting T slogans when the party spokesperson G Ramachander Rao began his speech. Police took him into custody.

People attending the meeting threw water bottles on the T activist while he was being escorted out by the police.
