Eluru: Rich tributes were paid to ‘Amarajeevi’ Potti Sreeramulu in West Godavari district on his death anniversary on Tuesday.
At District Collectorate in Eluru, Joint Collector Pulipati Koteswara Rao garlanded the portrait of Potti Sriramulu and paid tributes.
Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Collector called upon the youth to take the departed leader’s life as ideal.
District Revenue Officer K Prabhakar Rao, Treasuries Deputy Director SVK Mohan Rao, District Supply Officer Shiva Shankar and other officers participated in the programme and paid tributes to Sreeramulu.
In District Public Relations Office, the Assistant Director, V Bhaskara Narasimham, and staff paid homage to Potti Sreeramulu.
The Assistant Director garlanded the portrait of Sreeramulu on the occasion. Information Department Employees Welfare Assocation general secreary Puli Vinayaka Babu, APROs Ch Durga Prasad, Saibaba and others participated in the programme.
At District Police Office, Armed Reserve DSP B Chandra Sekhar garlanded the portrait of Potti Sreeramulu and paid rich tributes to the great leader. AR Inspector K Venkat Rao, DCRB DSP GVS Pydeswara Rao, Adminstrative Officer TS Syamala Rao, RSI Srinivasa Rao and other officials participated in the programme.
