YSRCP President and opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday visited the Pulivendla Mandal villages where he interacted with the farmers of Nallapureddy Palli, enquiring about their issues. Speaking on the occasion, YS Jagan said that the AP government didn't give a penny of the Rs 1692 crore allotted for input subsidy in the year 2013-14 and only released Rs 692 crores.

Lashing out at the TDP government for not giving compensation to the farmers who suffered crop loss, the Opposition leader said that the government should win the trust of the farmers by solving their issues and not just promises made before the elections.

Jagan stated that even though the losses incurred are being noted by the officials, the compensation is not being given to the farmers and said that he writing a letter to the Collector, Chief Minister regarding the crop loss adding that if the need maybe, he would protest for the issue at the Collector's office.

Revealing that the Nallapureddy Palli village alone is reeling under crop loss of 600 acres, Jagan said that the government is not helping the farmers as one acre of land requires Rs 80,000 to Rs 1,50,000 to be spent while the farmers are being given only Rs 10,000. The YSRCP Chief demanded a compensation of Rs 50,000 for one acre of banana crop loss.
