Guntur: Rural police arrested Bandi Siva, an accused in 75 theft cases and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 18 lakh on Friday. They also recovered one car and three bikes from his possession.
According to police, Siva, hails from old Guntur city, involved in several theft cases in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu since 2004.
He was an accused in theft cases in Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam, Nellore, Kadapa, Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts. The accused lifted the bikes from the bike servicing centres.
He was arrested at Nandigama. Guntur Rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Naidu appreciated the police officers for arresting Siva.
