Anna canteens formally declared Open
Two Anna canteens at Raja Tank premises and Dairy Farm Centre were formally declared open here on Sunday
Kakinada: Two Anna canteens at Raja Tank premises and Dairy Farm Centre were formally declared open here on Sunday.
The other four at Annamma Ghati Centre, Kakinada Government Hospital centre, Deputy Transport Commissioner office centre and Market tank area will be declared open on July 11.
Speaking on the occasion, Kakinada city MLA V Venkateswara Rao said that the official opening of canteens will be on July 11 or after completion of construction works.
The MLA said that the price of tiffin Rs 5, lunch Rs 5 and evening tiffin Rs 5 fixed to suit the common man.
The catering has been entrusted to Akshaya Parta Foundation of Kakinada and the construction work of the canteens has been taken up by Nagarjuna Construction Company, the MLA said.
City Mayor Sunkara Pavani,TDP leaders S Tirumala Kumar,40th division corporator S Lakshmi Prasanna and others participated.
