Bhimavaram: Youth should render service to the nation with patriotism, said retired naval commander OSR Murthy on the 72nd Independence Day.
He participated in the Independence Day celebrations at SRKR Engineering College here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Murthy said that the future of the nation was in the hands of the youth.
The college correspondent and secretary, Sagi Vittal Ranga Rao hoisted the Tricolor on the occasion. He inaugurated Ballgame developed by the college student Mynok Kumar Thakur from Nepal.
Later, all the students participated with enthusiasm in various competitions organised by the college on the occasion of Independence Day.
Prizes were given to the winners of the competition. College CEO SRK Nishanth Varma, Dr Brahmaraju, Jevinraju, physical director P Satyanarayana Raju, other department heads, faculty and students were present.
