Vijayawada: In a barbaric act, a beautician was mercilessly attacked with a knife by suspected to be by her lover at Bapulapadu village in Krishna district on Friday. The incident came to light on Saturday.
According to Hanuman Junction police, Pilli Padma, 39, a beautician, has been living with her daughter at Bapulapadu village after being separated from her husband due to personal disputes.
In the meantime, she developed intimacy with one Nutan Kumar of the same village. The police said Nutan Kumar came to Padma’s house and quarreled with her on Friday.
On Saturday, the woman was found in a horrible condition with multiple knife injuries and her legs were tied with a rope. She was in a pool of blood with multiple deep wounds on the body and was seen in a helpless condition.
Neighbours noticed the woman in a pitiful condition and immediately alerted the police. She was taken to the government hospital in Eluru. Her lover Nutan fled the village after the incident.
She has been working in Vyshnavi Beauty Parlour at Hanuman Junction. Hanuman Junction police are investigating the case.
