Vijayawada: Auto rally was taken in protest against abnormal hike in petrol and diesel prices under the aegis of CPI Vijayawada committee secretary Donepudi Shankar here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Shankar said that with the continuous rise in the fuel price, anti-government wave started and the people would teach a lesson in the coming election to both the Central and State governments.
He criticised the TDP government for not reducing the fuel price when states like Rajasthan and Kerala had rolled back.
Auto workers union city president G Janardhan, secretary P Srinivas Reddy and other members were present.
