Tenant farmers body to hold 3-week walkathon in Kakinada

Kakinada: The AP Tenant Farmers Welfare Association will organise three-week walkathon for the welfare of these sections.
Speaking to media at Sundarayya Bhavan here on Tuesday, the president of the association Nagaboyina Ranga Rap said the walkathon starts at Kajuluru in East Godavari on October 11 and concludes at Guntur on October 31.
He said that out of 42 lakh farmers who take up cultivation in the state, 32 lakh were tenant farmers.
Ranga Rao alleged that the interests of tenant farmers were being neglected for years together.
The association president said that on October 31, they would conclude their walkathon and submit a memorandum to state agriculture authorities in Guntur to highlight their problems.
