Vijayawada: A seminar on Zero Budget Politics (ZBP) was organised jointly by the United Forum for RTI campaign, Vijayawada Cycle Club and Vivekananda Youth Trust (VYT) at Tagore Library here on Saturday.

Madhav Reddy from ZBP, who was the chief speaker of the seminar, said, ``we should eradicate involvement of money in politics and youth should come forward to compete in politics with complete social awareness and dedication.’’

Senior journalist Krishnaanjaneyulu said that clean politics can be achieved only if the youth enter politics without selfishness to serve the nation.

At the meeting, Krishna Prasanna Vytla, president of VYT, was introduced as an independent candidate competing for the MLC seat with the support of NGOs and various organisations as his ideologies were to work for the development of people and society.

Vallabhaneni Satyanarayana (Cycle Satyanarayana) said that people should select eligible candidate as the MLC and bear expenditure for the election campaign.

After winning, they should demand him to render selfless service.

In this context, Krishna Prasanna Vytla said that politics was not something related to hereditary, but should be undertaken with complete dedication and determination.

All the educated people should vote without any bias and elect a perfect person who could work for them, he added.

Chiraga Foundation president Reshmi, Pramod Foundation president Polavaram Mani, Amrutha Hastham president Dhara Karunasri, Vote for Youth Foundation’s Sama Mani and Youth for Seva representative Rizwan and others were present.
