30K houses completed so far: Minister P Narayana
Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said that construction of 30,000 houses for the poor has been completed in the district against the target of 43,000 sanctioned
Nellore: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said that construction of 30,000 houses for the poor has been completed in the district against the target of 43,000 sanctioned.
The Minister said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would inaugurate these houses soon. He visited 40th, 42nd and 50th divisions in the city here on Saturday and inspected construction quality of cement concrete roads in the divisions.
Speaking to the media, Narayana stated that they would complete development works in the city before March end.
He said houses will be provided to the oustees of Swarnala Tank and also informed that they have been organising special camps in every division in Nellore Municipal Corporation limits on every Monday to submit their applications for houses.
“We are planning to set up separate area to perform special activities for the children on the banks of River Penna with Rs 50 lakh sanctioned for city development,” the Minister mentioned and added that modernisation of Santhapeta market taken up with Rs 9 crore. Corporation officials were present.
