HMTV’s initiative, ‘Business Excellence Awards,’ is making its mark. The awards committee for HMTV Business Excellence Awards (BEA)-2017 received nearly 200 nominations in 12 categories. HMTV is a part of Hyderabad Media House Limited which also publishes The Hans India, an English daily. 

Hyderabad: HMTV’s initiative, ‘Business Excellence Awards,’ is making its mark. The awards committee for HMTV Business Excellence Awards (BEA)-2017 received nearly 200 nominations in 12 categories. HMTV is a part of Hyderabad Media House Limited which also publishes The Hans India, an English daily.

K Hanumantha Rao, Executive Director, Hyderabad Media House, said: “In addition to this, life-time achievement awards will also be conferred. The seven-member jury so far met twice to ensure fool-proof scrutiny in choosing the award winners. Union ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Bandaru Dattatreya, Telangana ministers KT Rama Rao and Etela Rajender, and AP Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy will grace the occasion.”

Naidu will be the chief guest at the BEA-2017 function scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Hotel Avasa in Madhapur in the city. The awards committee started receiving nominations from March 15 and the last date of submissions was April 20. The jury committee comprises Anil Reddy Vennam, immediate past President, FTAPCCI, Credai past President C Shekhar Reddy, Hysea President Ranga Pothula, ItsAP past president Ramesh Loganathan, Rama Iyer, Sr Vice President, T-Hub, and Satish Kantheti, JMD, Zen Securities.

The BEA initiative aims at recognizing and honouring the successful entrepreneurs for their contribution to the economy and society. Within a short span, the BEA has become one of the prestigious awards in both the Telugu states as industry circles consider ‘Business Excellence Awards’ will boost confidence and inspiration to budding entrepreneurs.

Industry bodies including FTAPCCI, TiE, T-Hub and HMA not only welcomed Hyderabad Media House’s initiative, but also supported it. The Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI), Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) appreciated the initiative taken up by the HMTV.

Ravindra Modi, President, FTAPCCI, said: “Giving awards to those who excel well will encourage others as well. Recognising and honouring successful entrepreneurs and industrialists are always a good practice. We at FTAPCCI also confer awards to successful entrepreneurs and encourage innovation in the industry. Others, who don’t get awards, will also work with more commitment to get it next time.”
