Playlet fest in memory of Jandhyala begin. A three-day playlet festival in memory of Hasya Brahma Jandhyala under the aegis of Kalamanjari Cultural Organisation began at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College in the city on Wednesday.
A three-day playlet festival in memory of Hasya Brahma Jandhyala under the aegis of Kalamanjari Cultural Organisation began at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College in the city on Wednesday. Marking the first day of the fest, Ayachitula Cultural Trust staged ‘Vennelochindi’ playlet written by Sankaramanchi Parthasarathi and directed by KV Krishna Rao. The playlet with light comedy entertained the audience.
Speaking about the greatness of the writer and director, guests KV Balarama Krishna, Vemuri Nageswara Sarma, Malladi Vishnu, Dogiparthi Sankara Rao and Vemuri Basava Kutumba Rao stressed on how Jandhyala had set a new trend in Tollywood by making several hit films of comedy genre to provide wholesome entertainment to moviegoers. KVLN Sarma, P Mohan and R Vasu will be felicitated in the coming days at the valedictory of the festival.
