The Election Commission has made it clear that the Telangana election schedule will be released after finalising the voter list.
Speaking to media, the Chief Election Commissioner of India Om Prakash Rawat said that elections should be held in the state within the six months after assembly dissolution and the election schedule will be released the publication of voter list.
Rawat also said that a case pertaining to the election schedule has been pending in the court.
The EC also said that final voter list will be published by October 12.
The Election Commission held a press conference to announce the election schedule for four states Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh and Mizoram.
