Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao lashed out at the opposition parties accusing them of creating hurdles in the development of Telangana State.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Nageswara Rao said that irrigation projects were necessary for the development of the State and for the projects land was necessary. When the people are ready to part with their lands for the projects, Opposition was misleading them, he said.
The government was committed to complete the Mallanna Sagar project as it was in the interests of the State, Tummala said.
The R&B Minister wondered why Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was silent over the issue of the division of High Court. The two Telugu states can prosper only with cooperation. He said that the Mission Kakatiya scheme launched by the State was a model for the rest of the country.
“The State has been spending crores of rupees for these schemes which would change the face of Telangana. The problems faced due to lack of water for irrigation will be solved if these projects are successfully undertaken,” the Minister added.
