Union Minister Piyush Goyal has made a crucial statement on the expansion of the Spice Board. He said that a new Regional Spices Board would be set up in Nizamabad. He said the board would focus on turmeric crops exports along with other pulses. "The board will assist in all possible ways to export the crops after harvested," the minister said.

He also said that they would hold a meeting with farmers and international buyers to get higher prices. On the other hand, this could be a big blow to the TRS party who failed to get the spices board in the last five years. As a result, Kalavakuntla Kavitha lost the MP post to BJP leader Dharmapuri Aravind.
