Civic polls notification tomorrow, says Joint Collector D Srinivas Reddy
Joint Collector D Srinivas Reddy said on Monday that the draft notification of the municipal elections would be released on July 10. The objections would be received from July 10 to 12. During the period meetings with representatives of various political parties would be organised.
Medchal: Joint Collector D Srinivas Reddy said on Monday that the draft notification of the municipal elections would be released on July 10. The objections would be received from July 10 to 12. During the period meetings with representatives of various political parties would be organised.
The final voter list would be released. The JC informed a meeting of the district-level officials that there were 5.69 lakh voters in 13 municipalities. He said 567 polling stations have been identified in 289 wards. About 800 voters have been allotted to each polling station in highly populated areas.
Reddy said the district-level officials should be ready for the elections. 'You should take up duties as was done during the Assembly, Parliament and panchayat polls'. He directed the special officers to undertake ground level tours of mandals allotted to them and submit reports on local problems.
